Eric Treacy

Eric Treacy steam locomotive on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway – beautiful seasonal images available as canvas prints, framed photos, mounted prints, and wall art.

LMS Black Five No. 5428, named Eric Treacy in honour of the famous railway photographer and Bishop of Wakefield, is one of the best-loved steam engines running on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Built in 1937 by Armstrong Whitworth, it now hauls services through stunning locations such as Grosmont, Goathland, Levisham, and Whitby.

We’ve captured striking images of Eric Treacy throughout the year – from steaming through the snow in winter to glowing against the purple heather of summer. These photographs are available as high-quality canvas prints, framed wall art in various finishes, mounted prints, and photo-only options. We also offer a selection of Yorkshire railway-themed gift items, perfect for steam engine fans and lovers of the NYMR.
