Farndale

Farndale Daffodil Walk prints – spring wild daffodils, autumn moorland, and winter skies on canvas, framed, mounted, box prints & more. Iconic River Dove valley views.

Farndale, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, is famously known as “Daffodil Dale” thanks to the spectacular display of wild daffodils that bloom along the River Dove each spring. The 3.5-mile walk from Low Mill to Church Houses is one of Yorkshire’s most loved seasonal walks, with peaceful woodlands, riverside paths, and views across open moorland.

The valley’s name, like many in the North York Moors, has Norse origins – with “dale” meaning valley, and “foss” (used nearby) meaning waterfall. The daffodils are protected as part of a designated Local Nature Reserve and have grown here naturally for centuries.

We have stunning photographs of Farndale in all seasons – including the golden daffodils of spring, the purple heather of summer, the rich tones of autumn, and the quiet beauty of snow-covered winter scenes. These are available as high-quality canvas prints, framed photos in a range of finishes, photo-only options, mounted prints, box prints, and Farndale-themed gifts.
