Hardraw Force is a spectacular 100-foot single-drop waterfall tucked in a limestone gorge near Hawes in Wensleydale. It’s the tallest above-ground waterfall in England and was famously used as a filming location in the Hollywood blockbuster Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, where Maid Marian surprises Robin Hood as he bathes beneath the falls. The waterfall is accessed through the grounds of the historic Green Dragon Inn and lies just off the Pennine Way, making it a popular stop for walkers and nature lovers.
