The remote North Yorkshire dale of Swaledale runs from west to east all the way to the town of Richmond. This isolated valley is home to a subtle blend of wildflower meadows, heather covered moors and waterfalls, all set to a dramatic backdrop of hills and mountains. This makes it the perfect subject for landscape photography and many of the images that we capture from this area are truly stunning

The landscape at Swaledale and the surrounding areas is dominated by the river Swale, commonly known as the fastest river in the UK which cuts a distinctive line through the landscape and creates a number of key features. Waterfalls like Richmond Force and Kisdon Force attract tourists throughout the summer but particularly after heavy rainfall when they are at their most dramatic.
